    Ainsley McGregor, once a Chicago criminologist, has returned to her birthplace, Sweet River, Texas. She now teaches criminology at the local university. She also runs Bless Your Arts, a shop that supports local artists. Bless Your Arts is hosting a Yarn Goddess, Ellie Mitchum, heiress to Real Wool. Ellie, who at first seems aloof, is later found dead. The fate of Ellie's Fortune 500 company and her competitive family, each seeking control, hangs in the balance. Ainsley counts on her brother, Sheriff Ryan, her boyfriend Jake, who is a firefighter, and the unusual group of investigators who call themselves a Book Club to help solve the crime. No matter the puzzle, Ainsley McGregor takes on the task.
